Natalie and Jordan {Cape Cod Wedding}

Natalie and Jordan were married along the coast of the Cape on a blustery day in June. Natalie and Jordan hail from Chicago, but chose the rustic romance of Cape Cod, and a sprinkling of charming cedar-shingled cottages for their seaside wedding. I adored Natalie and Jordan at first sight. Natalie is a wedding photographer herself (as well as an actor) and Jordan is a musician; thus, we were a meeting of artists--a fact that made Natalie and Jordan all the more alluring, fun, and interesting to photograph. They couldn't be more smitten with each other, and that was apparent all day long. Natalie was breezy and calm when I arrived, and impressively did her own hair and makeup, her sister's hair and makeup, and her mother's makeup--as she and her also theatrically talented friends sang beautifully along with her ipod. I love this girl! Natalie's only anxious moment came when she was in her dress ready to roll--she just couldn't wait to see her groom. And once she did, in one of the sweetest first looks I've witnessed, she was back to her centered, calm self--yet blissfully happy. I remember her saying more than once, even as the rain fell on her filmly dress and "just curled" locks: "this is the happiest day of my life." They kept exhanging these adorable grins, the sweetest of which were during the ceremony that was officiated by Natalie's father (who took the role of host for the night). There were so many personal, artistic touches throughout the evening: friends performing live during the ceremony, a custom photobooth made by Jordan's father, not one but TWO pairs of hot pink heels, punch in ribboned mason jars, every detail was perfect. And even as the wind pummeled at the tent, it was the place to be: the band was rockin,' the lobster and clams delicous, the tent lit up vibrantly by colorful lanterns, and best of all, Natalie and Jordan on the dance floor, caught up in each other and the moment....one of those couples you just know are going to love each other fully and openly every day.

And now for their slideshow....

Liz, you exceeded my expectations!! You really captured the day for us. We are so pleased with the pictures, and I cannot wait to get copies in my hands! I enjoyed watching you take the photos of Natalie. You were into it, so I knew the pictures would be great. Unlike most photographers, you took pictures of what we were doing, and our fun, rather than putting us somewhere to mold us into something that we were not. Thanks for capturing the event and being in the flow, despite the blustery weather. ~Regina (Natalie's mom)

AWESOME pictures of a beautiful wedding and reception! It was so much fun to be there and to share the day with our dear friend Natalie. Everything about it was perfect. Even the blustery New England weather couldn't dampen the mood one bit!
