Lance and Leah: Engagement

Lance and Leah are both in the Coast Guard and are currently stationed in Florida, so they are planning their Cape Cod wedding from afar. After being in touch over email and the phone, it was my first chance to meet them in person--but I saved no time in sweeping them outside for a quick engagement session! Though their tolerance for cold has waned since they've been in the south (and poor Leah was quite ill), they were such troopers during our cold winter evening shoot. Evidence of the last snowstorm was still on the ground, creating a picturesque New England setting in Lexington, Lance's hometown. Lance and Leah are the most fun, spunky couple, and their affection for eachother is so uplifting to witness (I love that they are comfortable being all mushy in front of the camera--they made it so easy for me!). I had so much fun that I even created a little slideshow of images from our session (click arrow below to view!). I just adore this couple and can't wait to accompany them on their wedding day. Lance and Leah, I hope you enjoy this little touch of New England winter (finally almost over) down in Florida!

Smiling Irish eyes

Top o' the morning to everyone from my smiling Irish lasses! My girls sure look the part of their Irish ancestry, eh? When Irish eyes are smiling, sure it's like a morning spring. In the lilt of Irish laughter, you can hear the angels sing... A favorite song of my mom's side of the family (100% Irish). Makes me nostalgic; my grandparents (my Gram had auburn hair and my grandfather's was strawberry) would sure be tickled if they could see my girls!

The first sign of the midshoot meltdown...

Sheridan and Samantha

Okay, so this post is a little out of control. My new nieces are just so precious, I couldn't narrow the photos down, so here are a zillion images featuring little Sheridan and Samantha in all of their teensy-tiny sweetness. In the girls' third week of life, Brooke and Chris made the journey from NYC so that the babies could meet their Boston side of the family. They stayed with us and it was a baby-girl fest--and I loved every minute of it. Take a look at them in all their wee wonderfulness!

I love the contrast of the girls' hair color...

Between us, we have four girls under three--and three of them are redheads!

Such adoring parents.

You can't tell exactly, but Sheridan's is the foot on the left and Samantha's is on the right.

Gorgeous in green.

Welcome Alexa Nicole

On Friday I had the pleasure of meeting my friend Jamie's new little bundle of love, sweet Alexa, who entered the world on Thursday, March 5th. My friendship with Jamie goes back twenty-eight years, when we started dancing lessons together at the wee age of three years old. Over the years, we've been through so much together, but nothing compares to being pregnant together and having baby girls only three months apart! So I just couldn't wait to get to the hospital to meet little Alexa once she arrived, and of course, I brought along my camera (just as Jamie expected; she was out of the hospital gown and ready for her close-up). So here are some photos of sweet Alexa and her gorgeous mommy!

Jamie's friend Lauren was visiting with her two girls as well (love the curls!)

How awsome is Alexa's hair?

So pretty in pink!
