Megan and Matt are both tall, smiley, good-looking, have all-American names that start with 'M,' and, best of all, are completely and utterly in love. ...They pretty much had me at hello, and here's why: 1.) Matt reminds me of an adult version of my first childhood crush, Eliot from E.T. (oh that adorable Henry Thomas!), 2.) Since modeling is something they don't do every day, Megan laughed throughout our shoot--which made her all the more beautiful and natural to me (don't you dare go and repress that laughter on the wedding day, Megan!). 3.) As we tromped around Copley, the Public Gardens, and the Back Bay, I was struck by how refleshingly genuine they both are--and to top that, how genuinely they love each other. My favorite moment of the shoot was when we talked about the moment Matt will see his bride at the end of the aisle, and he got a little mushy :) His love for Megan is tangible, a reminder that "good guys" and "true love" really do exist. I guess tall, dark, smiley guys named Matt somehow represent that ideal to me (I might be baised). In any case, I can't WAIT to turn my lens his way next July when Megan walks down the aisle toward him....
Ah, how lucky I am to have a job that oozes romance?

Ten Little Roses
Meet the ten Rose grandchildren! What an adorable, sweet-natured bunch. One of my friends in town contacted me to do a photoshoot as a gift to her inlaws to celebrate their 40th anniversary last summer. The mission: a photo of all ten cousins! Capturing a photo of ten children, ages ten and under (five boys, five girls) is no small feat, and despite some wiggles and tears and a few runaways, we were able to accomplish the task--as well as achieve some sweet family shots, and individual portraits of each adorable little face! See for yourself, what cuties!
Little Charlotte kept dashing away, so we had to do a take 2--but so worth it, look at this cherubic face!
All five boys!
Portraits of each of the kiddos (in no particular order)...
Naturally I have a partilular affinity for the single ginger of the bunch (could he be cuter?)...

The Aldrich Family
What a beautiful little family Ro and Brian have. Ro contacted me because she saw photos I did of a newborn grandson of one of her co-workers. Though they live an hour from me, when they stepped out of the car, I realized with surprise that I recognized them because we happen to have mutual friends! Brian works good friends of ours, who went to college with Matt (and also live an hour away), so we have attended kid birthday parties together--small world indeed! Take a peek at Isaac, Ava and Brynn, three little captivating, dark-eyed beauties!

Baby Delia: newborn
Meet baby Delia, a tiny, fair Irish lass! Delia was born to all-Irish parents Brigid and Brian, and was aptly named Delia Caris her after mother (Delia is the Gaelic form of Brigid) and if I recall correctly, her great-grandmother, who knitted her the beautiful blanket she arrived snuggled inside that afternoon. I saw Brigid and Brian a month before their baby girl's birth when I photographed Brigid's brother Liam's wedding in our mutual hometown of Haddam, CT, and I was so happy when Brigid reached out to me for newborn photos! Baby Delia was quite attached to her pacifier that afternoon, but we managed to pop it out repeatedly to grab some shots of her in all of her two-week old preciousness...
Daddy's little girl...
I love the Dr. Evil trademark pinky here...
Delia is such a feminine, daninty lass, I couldn't resist bringing out some vintage accessories for some girly throw-back shots. That is my grandmother's hatbox!
